We help turn that direction into a practical brief for design development, material selection, samples and production. Branding, engraving, packaging and fulfilment requirements should be discussed as part of the scope; availability is confirmed in the quotation.

Define the collection before the batch.

• Design direction: silhouettes, proportions, reference materials and signature details.
• Commercial brief: target cost, intended quantities and the number of variations.
• Material standards: gold, gemstones, diamond specifications and documentation.
• Approval stages: CAD review, sample requirements and the production reference.
• Launch planning: confirmed timing, packaging responsibilities and handover.

Put design ownership
in writing.

Before development starts, agree which designs and files belong to each party, how CAD and moulds may be used, and whether any exclusivity applies. These terms should be specific to the project.

If your brief is confidential, discuss a confidentiality agreement before sending sensitive files. Permission to photograph, publish or reuse a client design should be explicit.

Exclusive designs, territory restrictions and future production rights are separate commercial terms. Confirm them alongside the development and manufacturing agreement.

Make the second order easier.

Agree the product codes, approved specifications and process for requesting changes. A focused opening assortment provides a clearer basis for repeat orders than an unnecessarily large range of untested variations.
